Joined Scouting in 1971. Was Senior Scout and Cub Scout leader. Continued during studies in Switzerland within Swiss Scout Association and, upon return in Greece, served as International Secretary, District Commissioner and Rover Commissioner.
– 1991-1993: member of the World Programme Committee
– 2006 -2008: member of the World Strategy Task Force
– 2003-2005: member of the National Board of the Greek Scout Association (SHP)
As Deputy Secretary General of SHP, he managed the volunteer programme for the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Currently Leader Trainer and Social Cohesion Commissioner in the Athens Scout Region.
Attended six World Scout Conferences since 1993 (Bangkok, Oslo, Durban, Thessaloniki, Hammamet and Jeju), nine Regional Scout Conferences (European, African and Asia- Pacific) and numerous Regional Seminars, Moots and Fora.

NON SCOUTING POSITIONS AND RECOGNITIONS
Presently, Managing Partner of an Association Management Company and continues to share time and energy in numerous professional associations and civil organizations as well as in public life and public interest bodies.
Serves as elected Member of the Athens City Council, acting Vice Mayor for Youth and lifelong learning affairs and Chairs the City Vocational Training and adult education Center.
Also serves as Secretary General of the Greek National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce chairing its Market ing & Advertising and Business in Society committees.
Community Leader in the Athens Jewish Community, member of the Religious Affairs Committee and the Jewish Committee Center and youth development teams.

Law Degree (Universite de Lausanne, Switzerland), Political Science and International Relations Degree (Panteion University, Athens), MA in Nonprofit Management & Community Leadership (Hebrew University, Jerusalem).
